Parent coaching and support
I am queer, non-binary (they/them), neurodivergent, and a parent.
I received my Master of Social Worker degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2022. I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Since then, I have been working as a Social Worker primarily in the fields of mental health & addictions, neurodivergence, trauma, parenting and supporting 2SLGBTQ+ communities.

You may already have a clear idea of what you'd like to talk about in therapy - or you may not! Either way is more than welcome. Listed below are some of the themes I have professional experience with.
I practice from a collaborative, relational and trauma-informed approach. I am 2SLGBTQ-affirming, poly and kink -positive and draw from the following therapy modalities:
If you tend to intellectualize your emotions and struggle to really feel them, my somatic and relational approach may work for you. We will work together to explore which approaches feel most beneficial. Regardless of the type of therapy, it is important to me that our work makes sense for you and gives you a deeper understanding of what healing can feel like for you.
As a parent myself, I have experienced the challenges and beautiful moments that come from raising little ones. Family life can be beautiful, messy, hilarious, infuriating, exhausting and magical. As many people say, "these kids don't come with a manual!". And while that may be true, I am here to support you in learning how to write your own manual geared towards your child(ren) in a way that makes sense for you and your family.
I provide parenting support from a non-coercive, collaborative parenting (NCCP) approach and philosophy. What does this mean? This relational approach supports you to work as a team with your kid(s), partner(s), remove power struggles and remind you that you are all on the same team. Our work will help you understand your own relational blocks and wounds and look inwards to make meaningful change. Once you understand what makes you tick, what feels messy and what isn't working, we can work together to find a new pattern that works for your family and sticks for good. I am committed to helping you find practical solutions that work! If you're looking for meaningful and lasting change in your relationships with your family- start here.
I support families of all types including co-parents, multiple parent families, parenting alongside non-monogamy, single parent families and other family configurations.
